Albion V Berwick at Cliftonhill Stadium - Match Preview

Ward without Innes

Albion Rovers will be without Peter Innes when they face Berwick Rangers looking to bounce back from their first league defeat.

The midfielder suffered a broken leg and a dislocated elbow when he was injured in a car accident last week.

He joins Barry Russell (ankle) and Scott Sally (back) on the sidelines as the Coatbridge men look to banish the memories of a 2-0 defeat against Montrose a fortnight ago.

Manager James Ward said: "That was a disappointing afternoon especially in the second half when we never put Montrose under any real pressure.

"Berwick will be tough opponents as they have bounced back well from losing to Clyde on the opening day of the season."

Berwick look for their first away win of the season when they visit Cliftonhill however they will be without the suspended Lewis Turner.

Dougie Brydon is also out with a pelvic problem and Owen Ronald misses out with an ankle injury with manager Ian Little warning his players to be wary of a wounded Albion side.

Little said: "Albion had started really well and losing to Montrose was a bit of a shock. They will be going all out to show that was a one off so we have to be on our guard.

"If we can start winning away from home then we could have a really good season."
