Albion V Stirling at Cliftonhill Stadium - Match Preview

Ward waits on trio

Albion Rovers manager James Ward will run the rule over Barry Russell, Ciaran Donnelly and Chris Dallas ahead of the clash with Stirling.

Russell, Donnelly and Dallas are all rated as doubtful and face fitness tests before the match.

Kevin Nicoll (knee), Peter Innes (leg) and Pat Walker (ankle) are all sidelined, while Mark Shankland has returned to Ayr following the end of his loan spell.

Ward said: "We may be short of numbers but we have not won two games in a row in the league since the first two weeks of the season. We need that to change."

Stirling boss Greig McDonald is without Sandy Cunningham who serves the final game of a two-match ban.

Chris Smith is also missing after undergoing minor knee surgery, while Stephen Day is absent due to work commitments.

McDonald said: "Rovers have had a great couple of results but we are on a decent run ourselves. The last time we played them they gave us a lot of problems, however we managed to secure a 2-1 win.

"We haven't been top of the table yet this season and it would be nice to finally get there if things work out."
