Thomson at the double
Robert Thomson came off the bench to score twice for Alloa as they won 3-0 at Albion in the Irn-Bru Scottish Second Division.
The visitors took the lead after 14 minutes when Martin Grehan crashed home from close range after good work from Ryan McCord on the left wing.
Grehan almost doubled his side's lead 12 minutes later when McCord again set up Albion's number nine but this time Chris McCluskey denied him with a point-blank save.
Thomson replaced the Wasps' goalscorer midway through the second half and tucked away Kevin Cawley's pass to double the away side's advantage 11 minutes from time.
Four minutes later, Thomson executed a neat overhead kick to secure all three points for Paul Hartley's side
The hosts' best chance fell to Jason Crooks moments later but Scott Bain kept out his left-footed effort and condemn the Wee Rovers to their fourth straight defeat.
