Wee Rovers stun Blue Brazil
Albion are just one point from safety after Jack Werndly's seventh-minute goal earned a surprise 1-0 home win over Second Division leaders Cowdenbeath.
Werndly was on the scoresheet in Albion's recent win at Stenhousemuir and scored his second goal in as many games when he fired into the top corner following Anthony Stevenson's assist.
Albion took their one-goal lead into half-time but were lucky to still be ahead after 50 minutes when Scott Linton volleyed over from close range.
Two minutes later the Wee Rovers had goalkeeper Derek Gaston to thank as he blocked Marc McKenzie's six-yard effort.
Lewis Coult thought he had brought Cowdenbeath back into the game after 74 minutes but his looping header was again kept out by Gaston, with Paul Martin's side holding on for their third win in five games.
