Five-star Alloa batter Albion
Albion's miserable form continued as they were thrashed 5-1 by second-placed Alloa.
Todd Lumsden's side have now lost their last nine outings and are eight points adrift at the bottom.
The visitors, meanwhile, extended their advantage over third-placed Brechin to 12 points, but remain 18 adrift of leaders Queen of the South.
They took the lead after just nine minutes as Martin Grehan tapped in from close range.
Calum Elliot grabbed an eight-minute brace before half-time, first stabbing in from six yards and then lashing home after Matthew McGinley had parried Ryan McCord's effort.
Marvin Andrews headed in a goal back from Albion in the first minute of the second period but Graeme Holmes restored the three-goal cushion 12 minutes from time with a close-range volley.
Kevin Cawley bundled in a fifth in the 85th minute to complete the rout.
