Albion in seventh heaven
Scott Chaplain scored a hat-trick as Albion thrashed Airdrie 7-2.
Chaplain's header put the home side in front on 13 minutes only for Jamie Stevenson's drilled effort to level 10 minutes later.
Albion regained the lead on 29 minutes through Chaplain's overhead kick and Micheal O'Byrne's header extended it nine minutes before half-time.
John Gemmell scored from close-range on 56 minutes and then from 35 yards on 61 minutes to put the hosts further in front. Sandwiched between those goals was a missed penalty for Airdrie, Derek Gaston saving Graeme Owens' effort after Anthony Stevenson had fouled Ryan Donnelly.
Owens made amends on 74 minutes when he converted a second from the spot following Alan Reid's foul on Donnelly, but any hope of a comeback diminished when David Lilley received a second yellow with 15 minutes to go.
Airdrie's misery was confirmed when Chaplain tapped in for his hat-trick and O'Byrne struck from long-range in the dying moments of the match.
