Samuel brace is decisive

Collin Samuel scored a goal in each half as East Fife beat Albion 2-0.

East Fife took the early initiative when Samuel tapped home from close range in the 12th minute after good work from Darren Smith on the left.

The hosts flew out of the blocks in the second half and it wasn't long before they had doubled their advantage. Samuel latched onto a good pass from Robert Barr to stroke the ball in from six yards out, less than 30 seconds after the restart.

Albion worked hard in the second period but never looked like getting on the scoresheet. Gary Phillips had a late chance to reduce the deficit, but saw his left-footed effort fly over the bar.
