A draw was a fair result as mid-table rivals Montrose and Albion Rovers fought out a 1-1 stalemate.
Montrose should have opened the scoring after four minutes when Martin Wood found himself through on goal but goalkeeper Chris Fahey brought off a fine save.
After 13 minutes Wood drove just over from a Craig Smart lay-off as the home side continued to threaten.
Montrose missed another chance after 21 minutes when Craig O'Reilly found himself through but again Fahey managed to save and Smart flashed the rebound wide.
Albion Rovers took the lead in the 28th minute when Charles Connolly scored with a shot which was cleverly dummied by Paul McManus.
Montrose drew level after 52 minutes when Euen Hall crossed the ball into the box trying to find O'Reilly and defender Jered Stirling slid in to concede an own goal.
Montrose thought they had grabbed the lead after 75 minutes when Wood crossed for Graeme Sharp to shoot home but the assistant referee raised his flag for offside.
Albion dominated the closing stages and a low shot from John Bradford forced a good save from Michael Hankinson.
In the dying seconds Hankinson did well to save from Marc McKenzie as the game ended level.
