A goal from substitute Chris Hamilton proved decisive as Albion Rovers claimed a narrow 1-0 away win at Queens Park.
Hamilton stepped off the bench to convert John Gemmell's pass after 71 minutes, drilling into the far corner with an angled right-footed drive.
That was no more than Albion deserved, as they had earlier spurned several opportunities to take the lead - most notably when Peter Innes volleyed wide seven minutes before the break.
Queens had their chances too, and Ian Watt was unlucky on a couple of occasions as he tested the visitors' defence early on.
Graeme Eagleshan came within a few inches of a dramatic late equaliser with a close-range snapshot in the last minute, but his effort was punched away by goalkeeper Derek Gaston.
