A three-goal burst in the first half of this game gave the Warriors a more comfortable win than they deserved.
Albion Rovers shot themselves in the foot as Charles Connolly was dispossessed by Paul McGrillen, who slid the ball to Ryan Davidson to tap home for the first goal after only 75 seconds.
Rovers had their chances to equalise, and although Marc McKenzie and Paul McManus created good openings they failed to test home keeper Willie McCulloch.
Stenhousemuir capitalised on this, scoring a second goal through ex-Albion player Lee Collins after an impressive Martin Lauchlan run had created the initial opening.
Robbie Henderson then struck a half volley from 35 yards that Chris Fahey did well to tip round the post.
With three minutes left of the half, Joe Savage headed home a John-Paul McBride cross to put the home side three up.
In the second half Rovers continued to create chances but were not clinical enough with their finishing and could have played all day without scoring.
Stenhousemuir, despite having the bulk of the play, seemed content to play the game out, although Savage looked to have scored again but his header was ruled offside.
Collins and Ryan Davidson both hit the woodwork during the second period, and although Stenhousemuir were 3-0 winners they know that they would have been punished if they had been playing a better team.
