Cook inspires Stirling

Stirling defender Alan Cook scored twice to help his side defeat fellow strugglers Albion 3-0.

The away side came into the game without a win in nine games and fell behind after 20 minutes to Cook's first goal of the afternoon, a thumping drive from the edge of the area.

The Binos doubled their lead three minutes later when Graham Weir headed the ball to Kevin Kelbie who fired in from 12 yards.

Albion's best chance to get back into the game fell to John Gemmell who headed Alan Reid's cross against the post after 73 minutes.

A great afternoon for Greig McDonald's men was rounded off 12 minutes from time when Cook applied the finish to Craig McLeish's cross as the Forthbank team recorded back-to-back league wins for only the second time this season.
